Blog virgin

Ok, now we are committed.  If we have a blog about hiking the Appalachian Trail this summer, then it must mean that we are actually going to hike the Appalachian Trail this summer.  In reality we will begin the journey soon, probably hitting the dirt in 6 weeks.  Though we have been planning the trip for well over a year now, it had always seemed far off until we set up this blog just now.  We are new to this blogging thing, but have become rather adept at updating our facebook status in the past few years.  Hopefully we can take what we have learned from social media and apply it to the blogoshpere.  Now we have a space to share our experiences, fails, challenges, triumphs, and humorous anecdotes.  Stay tuned!
